Taylor Daniel Lautner was born Febuary 11th 1992, in the Grand Rapids of Michigan in America, and was raised as a Roman Catholic. He and his father, Daniel, mother Deborah and younger sister Makena lived in Hudsonville Michigan.

Taylor’s heritage is of a mix of French, German, and Dutch and has a distant Native American ancestry - specifically been Potawatomi and Ottawa - of his mother’s side. At age six, May 16th 1999, Taylor became big brother to his brand new little sister Makena.

By the time Makena was born, the family had moved to a bigger home, after having an incredibly lucky escape. Taylor’s father was out on one of his flights, when Taylor and his mother decided to visit one of his aunts and stay the night. That very night, their house burnt down.
It was obvious at a young age that Taylor could achieve anything he wanted if he put his mind to! At the age of six, Taylor began studying martial arts and shocked everyone at the age of seven years old, when he competed in the nationals and won three trophies. His skills were even more impressive when Taylor didn’t just want to do karate, but also be on the big screen. Taylor wanted to showcase his martial arts to a wider audience. Taylor’s particular role model was Jean-Claude Van Damme. ‘I’d love to be an action director or writer or be in action films, just like him.’

Acting was something that Taylor wished to do, but at the time, karate was taking up much of his life. But while competing in the national championship, he met Michael Chaturanta, or better known as Mike Chat, the blue power ranger from Power Rangers Lighting Speed Recuse. Mike was impressed by Taylor’s skills and invited him to his Extreme Martial Arts Camp in Los Angeles, and as a fan of the show, it didn’t take long for Taylor to agree to being taught by one of his onscreen hero’s.

At age seven, Chat encouraged Taylor into acting, as he saw that he may have a future in Hollywood. His first audition was for a Burger King commercial. Though he didn’t the part, Taylor had been truly bitten by the acting bug. Two months after signing with an agent, Taylor got a part in his first movie, Shadow Fury. Though it wasn’t a big part, but it saw him fight onscreen.

In 2005, Taylor started to do regular voice work on Danny Phantom, What’s New Scooby Doo?, The Adventures of Silas and Brittany and He’s a Bully , Charlie Brown. Soon enough, Taylor landed the role in the movie,The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl with director of Spy Kids, Robert Rodriguez. Then soon enough, he landed the role with Steve Martin, in no other than Chapter by the Dozen 2.

Just three years later, Taylor got the role that would make him known! The movie been Twilight. Taylor didn’t know just how significantly his new character Jacob Black, would affect his life forever. Though Taylor only had a few parts in Twilight, he was thrilled to get a part in the movie. The only thing he didn’t like was the wig he had to wear.

While Twilight helped get Taylor better known, it wasNew Moon, the second book of The Twilight Saga, which proved Taylor as a dedicated actor, after almost losing his part as Jacob Black in the Saga, due to him not having enough muscle to play the part. But in the end, Taylor ended up keeping his role as Jacob Black after putting on thirty-pounds for his role and pushing himself in the GYM to the point that he was actually over working and losing weight. But in the end, Taylor won his role back and was doing his own stunt work for the movie, at only sixteen.

In July 2009, Taylor went on to do another movie, the romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day, where he would act alongside country music singer, Taylor Swift. The movie opened the same day as Robert Pattinson’s new drama, Remember Me, and it was another fight between Team Jacob and Team Edward for the fans, on a none-Twilight movie related level.

Soon after the two films of Taylor and Rob’s movies were released, they started on third movie of The Twilight Saga, Eclipse, which brought in box-office records of two-hundred-million dollars, on its first day of opening alone.

Not long after Eclipse was released in theatres, Taylor started filming his first thriller with lead role as Nathan in Abduction. A movie centred a on a teenage boy that wants to find out the truth of who is he is after finding a baby photo of himself on a missing persons website. Abduction is set to release September 23rd 2011, and with three more movies in development, the fourth book of The Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn coming out in two parts in 2011 and 2012 and another lead role in Incarceron coming up in 2013, who knows what Taylor Lautner will become in the future! All we know is, that whatever he does, he will be completely dedicated to it!
